Who I help

Trauma and difficult memories

Careful, paced work when something from the past still shapes how you feel today.

What it can feel like

  • Being startled easily or always on guard

  • Memories that intrude when you least expect them

  • Avoiding places, people or conversations

  • Feeling disconnected from your body

How we might work on it

Safety comes first. We build steadiness in the present before we go anywhere near the past, and you stay in control of what we cover.

Some people never need to tell the whole story to feel the benefit of therapy.

Sessions can include simple grounding skills you can use between appointments, and we can pause or slow down whenever you need to. You never have to talk about anything before you’re ready.

Over time, many people find the past takes up less room in the present. We go at a pace that feels manageable, and we review together how the work is going.

Therapy doesn’t promise a set outcome or timeline. We’ll check in regularly on how it’s going.
