About

Hi, I’m Nora.

A licensed therapist working with adults and couples in Madison and online.

How I work

I believe therapy works best when you feel at ease, so sessions are relaxed and conversational. I’ll ask questions and sometimes offer ideas, but you set the direction.

I’ve spent more than ten years as a therapist, first in community mental health clinics and, since 2019, in private practice. Outside the room I walk, garden badly and read too many novels.

Approaches I draw on

Person-centered therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

Emotionally focused therapy for couples

EMDR for trauma

Qualifications and training

MA in Counseling, 2012

Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin

Certificate in couples therapy, 2017

EMDR training, 2020

Regular clinical supervision and ongoing training

The room

A quiet, private room at the back of the building, with a window onto the trees.
